The Nightclub featuring The Late English Breakfast Video Memories
Morning All!
Time for more memories from the show! One time doing "The Late English Breakfast" on that station full of Yanks known as Valley Free Radio (http://www.valleyfreeradio.org/) I received a call from a guy called Dave, who resided in Northampton. To my surprise, he was very complimentary about the show, saying it was the best show on the station, along with the reggae programmes that were on air at the time.
He had just heard a James Hunter tune - still pleases us no end we were playing the album "The Hard Way" a month before it was released over here in the USA.
We waxed lyrical about Mr. Hunter an awful lot; if you've ever seen him live you'll understand why! So, our Late English Breakfast video memory this time is the great man doing "People Gonna Talk"

Here's our "Nightclub" tune - Chuck Berry's "Back In The USA"
This tune's very appropriate as it was our first tune to be played on the show when we got back from England back in 2008. It seems weird saying" . . . back in 2008" now doesn't it?! Time is marching on for sure! Anyway, hope you liked the picks and enjoy the music. Next time, I'm going to talk about the comedy we featured on the show. Until then, enjoy your music and have a good time and as the late great Irish comic Dave Allen would say" Good night and may your God go with you" I hope you enjoy reading this as I have a great time chatting and reminiscing about the fun times doing the show that appeared on Sunday nights from 6-8pm on 103.3FM here in the Pioneer Valley. See ya!
